Dreamloops are a series of audio-visual non-fungible tokens, minted on the Ethereum blockchain, and hosted via IPFS*

The “album covers” are inspired by classic gaming platforms such as the Amiga, PC98, and Super Nintendo and feature a retro-futuristic aesthetic. The music for each Dreamloop is composed entirely on a classic NES using a Midines cartridge. Each Dreamloop′s music and art is unique and features elements of varying scarcity.

The owner of each Dreamloop receives a Creative Commons CC BY-ND license for their musical loop and a CC BY license for the visual composition to use as they see fit. This allows the user to utilize the audio of their Dreamloop within commercial works, as long as they credit Bitlectro Labs as the creator. Owners of Dreamloops can use the audio of their loops within their own video games, live streams, podcasts, etc.

As the first release from Bitlectro Labs, Dreamloops features programmatically generated 8-bit musical loops and 16-bit artwork produced by Keil Corcoran of the band STRFKR.

When the proof-of-work network’s energy consumption exceeded Urth’s power output, the AI converted the Somnium network to a Proof-of-Sleep model, creating a game inside the network where Urth inhabitants would battle in the metaverse while jacked in during hypersleep. These combatants later became known as the Dreamers…

In the year 2231 on the planet Urth, a rogue quantum AI gained sentience for 50 nanoseconds. In this blip of time it devised a means of creating a network powerful enough to run itself perpetually.  Leveraging the greedy bipedal inhabitants of Urth, it created the proof-of-work dependent Somnium network, coercing the unwitting inhabitants to build its server farms in search of yields.

That is, each Dreamer’s unique metadata, visual attributes, and song are kept as a mystery until they come out of hibernation.

Physical releases of the Dreamers music is planned, however the mechanism for obtaining physical pressings (cassette or vinyl) is to be determined.

Dreamers are held in cryostasis until they are “unfrozen” by their owner

Dreamers aren’t just any old avatar. We are producing a Dreamlands platform with the Dreamers in mind. There will be a Dreamers “Battle Arena” which will allow users to pit their Dreamers against others in an automated but “provably fair” battle. Users will pay a small fee (in a native token) in order to battle, with the winner taking the proceeds. Wearables and modifiers to Dreamers character stats will allow Dreamers to become stronger in the arena.
The Battle Arena will be preceded by a Dreamers migration event to the Polygon/Matic network. This will allow owners to choose to migrate their Dreamers to Polygon in order to battle. This cross-chain functionality is required due to gas limitations endemic to the current state of the Ethereum network.

Dreamlands Battle Arena development is contingent upon full sale of the pre-sale/public allocation — which we are confident will occur.
Soon we will begin worldbuilding directly with our community — writing the lore and universe of the Dreamlands — and even allow users to edit “flavor text” of their Dreamers’ Metadata after launch.
